Laser cut of uncommon material

NeoMed Cut is a Class 1 Laser system designed for cutting biological tissue. The system is tailor-made to cut the animal pericardial tissue which will then be sewn onto the human implantable heart valve.

The operator lays out the piece of tissue over the Y axis table. While the axis moves the piece into the working chamber a scanner detects its thickness. The software analyzes the patch’s structure by generating a 3D mesh. According to the configuration setup the software identifies grouped by predefined classes of thicknesses. Then the Laser will perform remote cutting via a galvo head.
